With all the current bru-ha-ha of the 2008 elections an important factor to take into account is Hispanic voters. With 8.9 percent of the US population being Hispanic voters this group can definitely have a very powerful impact on election results if they all came out and voted. So what is currently being done to increase voter registration and participation? Having worked in political campaigns in the past, I have seen some God-awful attempts to connect with this group but this year's Voto Latino's viral marketing is getting this message across in a creative and fun way.

One aspect I dig about Voto Latino approach is their "La Pasion de La Decision" (The passion for the decision) videos. These videos are spoofs off of telenovelas (kudos for cultural relevancy) and are full of humor that not only connects with target audience but also gets message across. With the first episode receiving over 55,000 views I think this has been a great approach that will gain momentum and results.
