"Dude, Paraguay has some good things. Seriously"
Posted in: Random
In a recent post on his blog, Andre Souza talks about the glad surprise he had when he found our website featured in several galleries. Mostly, he talks about how good work can change the preconceived image people sometimes have about things, in this case, about Paraguay.
In case you have missed it, Paraguay just got its 15 minutes of fame thanks to Michael Mann and his movie version of the legendary 80's TV Series, Miami Vice. For all of you who haven't yet seen the movie (fun and entertaining I must add), Ciudad del Este is represented like a South American version of Hong Kong, where of course, all the bad guys hang out.
Don't get me wrong, Michael Mann it's not responsible for that "infamous fame" (for lack of a better term) Ciudad del Este and Paraguay have, if anything, he's just showing to the world a side of Ciudad del Este that probably nobody who isn't Brazilian, Argentinean, or Paraguayan saw before.
The good news is, not everything is like that, and the very good news is, people from all over the place are starting to take notice.
In his post Andre speaks about this and how the work produced by SUM will forever change the preconceived ideas about products made in Paraguay.
"I just discovered the site of a Paraguayan Communication, Design and Web Agency with fantastic works. I will never make fun of "Made in paraguay" again. These dudes are good. Seriously."
If you happen to speak Portuguese and you are in the neighborhood, pay Andre Sousa's Ad Libitum a visit. There is a lot of interesting stuff regarding advertising and "the internets", aaand, on that note: In the name of the whole staff of SUM Agency, thank you Andre for your kind words, it means the world to us, especially coming from a Brazilian brother.
From Paraguay and to the World, I'm out.
